What is Alpha?

The Alpha Course has been held all over the world since the 1990s in churches, homes, schools, universities and prisons. Alpha is an opportunity for us to invite our family, friends, or anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, and one weekend. It’s free dinner, low-key conversation, and friendly fun.

What happens at Alpha?

The evening begins with dinner at 6:15 p.m. After dinner there is a video on “Exploring the Meaning of Life”. After the talk, there is a small group discussion time where you can feel free to ask questions and express your opinions about the topic. The dinner is our gift to you.

We'd love to have you join us!

Our next Alpha course will take place over 8 weeks, beginning August 6th and concluding September 24th on Tuesday evenings from 6:15 – 8:30 PM. There is also an Alpha weekend (one Friday evening and Saturday morning) during the course; we certainly hope you can come to that as well, but you’re still welcome to attend Alpha if you can only make it on Tuesday evenings.

You can register to attend Alpha here.

To register as an Alpha volunteer, click here. There are many ways to serve (you don’t even have to be available on Tuesday nights!) and you can select on the registration form what area(s) you would like to help with and how many weeks you’re available.

What to expect:

There’s no charge to attend Alpha – it’s free.
